It's like looking through a Cathedral window.

Let me tell you, I had so much fun making this quilt. I didn’t mind sewing piece after piece into a large shape that would later be cut into squares, watching the colors unfold made me think of looking through a Cathedral window. This quilt would be a fantastic stash buster, you only need a strip of fabric that will go across the block to be.

I like the way you can seethe original square, then you can see another square made up of four blocks, that run diagonally across the quilt. You see, when you put a quilt together you might have an idea what it will look like, but until it's finished and you look at from across the room you can never see it's complete beauty. To me, it's like painting with fabric.

This quilt is my quilt and it started out being my quilt, selfish you might say, not in the least. You see I am a maker of things and I enjoy using the things I make. Quilts have been passed down from generation to generation, so why not use them.

I hope you have enjoyed checking out my quilts as much as I did making them.
